Merry Everything, Happy Always

The past few weeks I’ve been sick with a kidney & bladder infection mixed in with passing kidney stones and surgeries and let’s just say it hasn’t been the most blissful holiday break. My husband truly deserves some type of award for the way he so gracefully and tenderly has cared after me day and night! Today being Christmas, I was thinking about the best gift I have ever received. Although my immediate thought was the gift of modern day medicine and doctors who work urgently to be able to help a sick body receive full recovery….I thought a little longer and little bit past my present situation.

The best gift I have ever received is the knowledge I have of a Savior who died for me and who felt my pain already so that I don’t have to feel it alone. He therefore makes every other gift possible. He makes it possible to be sealed to my husband for eternity, to be able to create a family, to be able to experience miracles. Every good and perfect gift truly does come from above. And the knowledge of that is truly the best gift I have ever received. In all my Christmas’, every Santa haul, every birthday wish….nothing will ever compare to that gift.

I am so grateful for this Christmas season that so beautifully makes the world pause and remember that gift. My goal for 2018 is to celebrate that gift every single day. Not just on December 25th. Honoring His birth everyday is the best way we can say thank you for a debt we will never be able to pay.

I hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday season spent with the people you love most! Having had my blog for OFFICIALLY 1 YEAR now, READERS, thank you for giving me the gift of following my journey! I love you all!
